Terms and conditions of registration for foreign applicants

The application for registration as an authorized engineer must be submitted on the prescribed registration form available on our website (the form can be printed). The application must be duly completed. In accordance with the Construction Act (Official Gazette RS, No. 110/02 official codified version, 92/05-ZJC-B, 93/05-ZVMS, 111/05 Odl.US: U-I-150-04-19, 126/07, 108/09 and 61/10-ZRud-1 (62/10 popr.)) the following persons may be entered in the IZS register:

 

-  Citizens of the Republic of Slovenia,

-  EU nationals or nationals of the Contacting Parties and

-  Nationals of third countries.

 

EU nationals or nationals of the Contacting Parties are entered in the IZS register eight days after the decision on the recognition of professional qualifications has become final. Nationals of third countries are entered in the IZS register and can pursue the regulated profession in accordance with the Construction Act under condition of substantive reciprocity only if their professional qualifications are equal to those prescribed for the citizens of the Republic of Slovenia.

 

The Commission decides on applications for registration once a month, if necessary several times a month.
